Ever since I can remember I have loved to draw. I would draw everywhere, using any instrument to draw on the ground or on a wall; anything would work as my canvas.
But I never really learned how to draw until I grew up and had a chance to study Western Fine Art: sketching, oil painting, sculpture, etc…. The only problem was that my enthusiasm was too great, but the time too short. That, and a little laziness that kept me from working harder on my art, means my skills have lots of room for improvement. Quite frankly, I think my art is still very immature, but the joy I feel when I lose myself in painting makes me value not the art work itself, but that wonderful feeling.
I especially like to paint people. The magazine of the” World Vision” is my most frequent subject matter. Perhaps this could give the misconception that my paintings are rather gloomy. But they are not really “grey,” they are instead the kind of unforgettable images that move me to take up a brush to preserve them.
Of all my pieces the one I like most is “Gazing” .In the painting, two innocent little children are gazing intently at an image of Jesus bearing the Cross in the background, an image not only of attentiveness, but even more it portrays hope.
“Bring the little children to the Lord Jesus” – I heard these words strong and clear while I was painting this picture.
